 AIM OF OUR TRAINING PROGRAM:

At Fatima Jinnah Medical College and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital 

The culmination of the program is to maximize each Resident’s potential, optimize their clinical and academic skills and allow them to become the next generations’ Leaders in Neurosurgery.

 

  • Full accreditation was granted to the Department of Neurosurgery at FJMC/SGRH for  FCPS(Neurosurgery)  by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan effective from May 30, 2011
  • Full accreditation is granted to the Department of Neurosurgery at FJMC/SGRH for MS(Neurosurgery) Program by the Punjab University, Lahore

 

FELLOWSHIIP(FCPS)  &  MASTERS (M.S)

Any doctor who has finished his medical school and wants to become a Neurosurgeon can join department of Neurosurgery at  Fatima Jinnah Medical College and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan, with the following training programs in Neurosurgery:-

  1. FCPS Neurosurgery:

    5 years program with 2 years in General surgery and 3 year in Neurosurgery through College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan.
  2. M.S. Neurosurgery:

    5 years training program done through Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan

 

Training program consist of...

  • Resident training as medical officer then registrar and after Fellowship or Master's in Neurosurgery  joins the faculty as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and finally as Professor.
  • At each step you are taught the art of history taking, diagnosis, surgical skills for emergency and elective neurosurgical operation of minor to most complicated and intricate procedures.
  • Handling of specialized electro medical equipment used in neurosurgery are taught. Special classes in and neuroradiology are important aspect of training methods.
  • You are trained to because the top class and best neurosurgeon who can practice neurosurgery any where in the world.
